RIP Bonnie Tyler (1951-2026) 🕊️
Bonnie Tyler, the Welsh pop icon, has died aged 75, a representative has confirmed. Tyler, who released her debut album The World Starts Tonight in 1977, had been a mainstay in the music business throughout the last six decades and remained active until the very end.
Notably, Tyler was awarded an MBE for her services to music in 2023, and also represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest a decade earlier, coming 19th with a total of 23 points accrued. For Tyler, who was nominated for three Grammys across her career, her greatest achievement was the MBE.
She said at the acceptance ceremony, “I never ever thought I would have something like this, my mother and father would be so proud. To be nominated for a Grammy was wonderful, but to be given an MBE for something I absolutely love doing is a highlight of my career.”

We are pleased with today’s High Court ruling to uphold the Government’s careful decision to grant planning approval for our Northern Runway Project.
Our exciting plans will deliver significant business, tourism and trade benefits for the UK, including 14,000 new jobs and a £1bn boost to the economy every year. This is a victory for common sense.
We now look forward to turning our plans into reality and will announce further details in due course.

@SpursOfficial There has certainly been a genuine break from what had come before. We’ve survived relegation by two points while our nearest rivals have won the league, instead of slagging off Levy you should recognise that you and those around you have no idea how to run a football club!
Overwhelming sense of relief not jubilation. A disgraceful season that can't be forgotten just because they got away with it. Totally unacceptable and heads must roll this summer amongst the hierarchy. This can never happen again.
