Today, Rt. Hon.@R_Nabbanja welcomed the delegation for H.E @KagutaMuseveni and confirmed Friday’s follow-up Zoom. Col. @edthnaka, who met part of the investors, highlighted digital incentives & hubs; Dr.J.A. Chowdary urged top IT skills & Stanford CEO summit. #EmpoweringInvestors
Under the guidance of the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister @RobinahNabanja_, we engaged with an influential international business delegation led by Dr. J.A. Chowdary (Co-Founder of Portal Player, acquired by Nvidia for $370M) & Mr. Sri Atluri (Commissioner, NJ–India Commission & former MD at BNY Mellon, $55.8T Asset management).
The delegation is exploring $200M+ investments in Uganda across:
1. Agro-industry – bio-gas & essential oils, processing & training centres for farmers
2. Technology – a pro bono traffic management system & hosting of the Global AI Conference 2026
3. Housing – integrated developments with residential units, schools, health facilities & convention centres
4. Finance – strengthening the Uganda Securities Exchange
These commitments represent a significant opportunity for jobs, innovation, and stronger value chains. Key stakeholders including @ugandainvest, @NPA_UG, @NITAUganda1 & @URSBHQ joined us in aligning with the delegation on this strategic investment opportunity for Uganda’s growth.
Kudos @GovUganda and @mofpedU. This is marvellous news. Financing our own oil roads project, without borrowing externally, is a huge step in the right direction. This move will consolidate our debt position, and most importantly, develop Uganda's Self Reliance Spirit.
Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of #Kazakhstan: we confirm our int’l commitments, as nation faces state of #emergency and armed aggression from #terrorist groups trained outside of the country.
