My research focuses on BaZrS₃, an alternative Pb-free perovskite that possesses greater intrinsic chemical stability than its halide counterpart. All three constituents, Ba, Zr, and S, are among the 18 most abundant elements in Earth's crust.
Therefore, these results can be directly correlated to the fundamental bonding properties of the perovskite. Synthesis development aimed at lowering the growth temperature can be found here: https://t.co/ftrAGSy1b5.
The synthesis process described here is instructive because it represents the pure crystallization of BaZrS₃ from an initially amorphous precursor, without intermediates or substantial contributions from secondary phases.
A unique hybrid truck with a solar panel covered trailer is being tested on public roads, in collaboration between Uppsala University, Scania and four other companies. The solar energy decreases operational costs and local emissions significantly.
