Got a chance to get out of the office and run the auger wagon the other day. Set a new high score for bushels loaded on a truck.
Was not invited back for day two. #harvest23
If you're wondering why your tax professional can't quickly resolve your IRS matter, the answer is that he cannot reach a human at the IRS to resolve it. I have a number of issues I need to resolve (and CAN be resolved) at the IRS's Practitioner Priority Service, but... (1/2)
It’s been > 10 yrs since IRS said to drop those long Circ 230 disclaimers. And yet, they persist.
Worse? Disclaimers are getting longer.
CVS receipt-level long.
In 2015, the longest that I saw was 412 words.
Today: 1,513 words.
On an email that was under 200 words. (1/3)
During an event this winter, I had a chat with a farmer who said “I do have bad days but I need 20 minutes to talk to someone who understands.
I don’t want to burden my wife, I don’t want my competing neighbor to know I’m struggling. Who do I call?”
The AgriStress hotline ⬇️⬇️ answered by people who understand ag.

For gifts from a foreign person like Santa Claus, a U.S. person can receive an unlimited amount of money without any income, gift, estate or GST tax—the limited $19k annual gift tax exclusion does not apply. But if Santa's gift exceeds $100k, it must be reported on IRS Form 3520.
This is a big deal, please repost this for reach.
Good grief...
Intuit, do better...
Karena spent an hour on hold with Intuit this morning because Intuit could NOT respond to a chat.
She was told that clients using QBO for payroll who should have had checks hit this morning, will not be paid until after close of business today MST.
Our employees paychecks will NOT hit on time and we let them know we can loan them money if needed this morning...
Here is what upsets me with Intuit and QBO right now:
QBO is far more expensive than Desktop.
Intuit is aggressively pushing everyone into QBO. In fact some of the things they tell people are hyper aggressive at best...
Yet Intuit is having a major issue and payrolls that should have hit this morning will not.
Does Intuit realize that more than half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck?
Not long ago QBO payrolls hit soon after midnight. Then they started hitting around 7 or 8 AM EST. I am not sure why this change was made, likely arbitrage for Intuit...
And today, Karena was told our firms QBO payroll checks will NOT be deposited until after the close of business today...
And more than half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.
Intuit I assume you will be issuing refunds to all of your payroll clients on their QBO fees who are being disrupted by this?
How will you make people whole?
Please tell us what happened? Please be specific.
How are you communicating this to your clients using QBO?
Intuit, do better.

1,101ish ears of sweet corn picked for our annual Tekamah Community Day of Giving & Sweet Corn Festival tomorrow. It’s our little way to give back to our amazing Smalltown peeps. Also believed to be the corniest festival in ‘Merica until we hear otherwise…
1969 always held a close spot in my Dad’s heart 💚
The year he married my Mother.
The year they graduated high school.
The year my first sister was born.
The “Summer of 69” song is a family favorite. So I share with you the greatest tractor of 1969… The JD 4520 + the optional HFWD 💚💛💚
High humidity and heavy fog this morning. It’s a hell of a view to live on the bluffs and catch these sunrises 🌅 over the Missouri River Valley. I grew up on the bottoms (down by the river!) where a morning like this meant you couldn’t see 100 feet in front of you.
Conor Connealy arrived in Lincoln as a walk on and legacy player in 23 trenching his own path within the program, making the switch from o-line to d-line he continues to develop while being awarded the Berringer & Osborne citizenship team! We are 98 days out til Husker Kickoff!
