I stand with CBRM workers. I'm ok with some interruptions. Pretty rich of CBRM to highlight one issue when the union says the CBRM has been ignoring the collective agreement repeatedly. Solidarity with all workers, everywhere, always.
@Endthemisery1 You're a hater. She is 100% right and her feelings are valid. More people just vocalize this and normalize feeling this way. We are not meant to do this shit. This isn't a good life.
@the_tweedy Money produces all kinds of beliefs that make no sense but are widely adopted because everyone wants money and whatever the people with money say is true must be true (or true enough).
Concerts are not damn libraries. If the artist is any good there won't be anyone sitting (excluding anyone who cannot stand obviously). Sit on your couch and watch YouTube and leave music fans alone.
Fan that Adele defended from security at her Vegas residency tells TMZ heโs not sorry for the people behind him after standing and singing along most of the concert:
โI only had one opportunity to see her and I took it. Iโm not really sorry. They couldโve stood up too.โ
My next book is called Canada in Decline, the first of a series and goddamn I have just finished the manuscript. Got a few days for some hardcopy edits and this baby will be put to bed just in time for me to take a summer break!!
Remote work/#WFH is one of the largest labour equity issues benefitting women, BIPOC and youth. The union let down its most marginalized in the systemโthe ppl who make the least ๐ฐ should have freedom of movement during work hrs instead of being chained to their desk like slaves
โก๏ธ Our current labour laws and rights like a five day work week, 7.5/8h work day, safe work environments and pay are thanks to the many strikes and labour movements before us that oftentimes were violent.
Our rights are not guaranteed; we must always fight.
