In contrast to the primary, where the Democratic percentage for the 3rd District was similar to that of statewide Democrat candidates, in the general @RepMGP ran ahead of all the statewide Dem candidates, sometimes substantially. #WA03@WApolwatch@DrewSav@JMilesColeman
@JohnDoeTheDoe99 Ok, it appears you are going on who won, which ignores the factor of candidate quality. Since you don't like commissions, what is your solution, if any? Should we simply allow politicians to gerrymander to their hearts' content?
@JohnDoeTheDoe99 After Trump ordered Texas and other GOP states to redraw, the restraint in California and other places was thrown out the window. Maybe someday partisan gerrymandering will be banned, and we can have district lines drawn everywhere by nonpartisan bodies. (2/2)
@JohnDoeTheDoe99 To the contrary. That was the data that those drawing the lines during the normal redistricting cycle were dealing with. Texas went much further to benefit the dominant party than California did, because the latter's maps were drawn by a Commission. (1/2).
@atrupar In general, Khanna has a point, but the left does apply all kinds of purity tests. If they want to take Khanna’s advice, apply it across the board.
@SunsetsPolitics @PolarKota@PollTracker2024 When it's asked generically, maybe it does poll well. However, that poll doesn't ask whether recipients would be ok with giving up their current plan, which most of them say they like. https://t.co/cH5291CV6w
@ECaliberSeven They may avoid talking about those things, but I'm not sure many have actually changed their positions on those topics. So, they are still vulnerable on them.
