Yellow Flag Iris is a common #InvasiveSpecies found in wet areas on #GalianoIsland and other places in #BritishColumbia. They have already started blooming, so it is time to get them removed!

In 2003, the @ConserveGaliano purchased the Great Beaver Swamp & surrounding forest, protecting one of the island's largest wetlands forever. The @IslTrustConserv and @HabitatAcqTrust hold a conservation covenant on the 18 hectare reserve, adding a second layer of protection. 👏
