Today in Amherst we wished a birthday to the Land & Water Conservation Fund!
Signed into law 60 years ago, this vital law protects some of the most iconic, endangered, beautiful spots in America.
Thanks @ConserveMA@AppMtnClub & CT River Watershed Partnership for organizing!
As the legislature wraps up, a strong call to pass a climate change bill before tonight’s midnight deadline comes from conservation groups, renewable energy developers, municipalities, and businesses seeking efficient, equitable reforms for renewable energy siting...

We’re excited to share that the MA House and Senate have officially passed the Climate Bill! Hear from @SteveTnc, Dir. of Policy & Partnerships, on why this bill is key to helping all communities in the state reduce the impacts of climate change by transitioning to clean energy.
At yesterday’s staff meeting we highlighted the importance of partnerships in conservation & policy by celebrating dam removal expert @alison_bowden ’s bday with a cake crafted by our policy expert, Steve Long! In both cake and conservation, it’s all in the details! @stevetnc

Thanks to our Trustees for joining us for our first ever State Lobby Day! We met with staff & legislators from 8 offices to discuss 2 of TNC's current priorities – the Green Budget & drought management. It a great day for catching up with old friends & building new relationships.
We are excited to support the Commission's newly released recommendations to advance clean energy development. Thank you @MassEEA for the opportunity to work on this collaborative process!

Last week, our team spent the day connecting with each other and nature at the beautiful @MassAudubon Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary! After a productive all staff meeting, we enjoyed a group hike, took a look at the vernal pools, and learned about the wildlife at the sanctuary.
Many thanks to @JamieEldridgeMA and @JoanMeschino for their leadership on H.861/S.475, the Drought Bill – we need a proactive response to drought as extreme weather becomes more frequent! TNC has joined @mass_rivers and many others in support of this important bill.
