This comes less than a week after the Senate passed a resolution allowing the audit on a limited scope, but with an “escape hatch” to call off any audit at their will.

In his deleted posts, Platner wrote that sexual assault victims should "take some responsibility for themselves" to avoid attacks, urged people to avoid alcohol to prevent "compromising situations." Healey now adopts that view just by supporting him. Her support is an assault on women victims everywhere. That is simply sickening.

Statement from Massachusetts Republican Party Chair Amy Carnevale on the Virginia Bus Crash

The Massachusetts Republican Party joins people across the Commonwealth in mourning the tragic loss of Dmitri Doncev, Ecaterina Doncev, their children Emily and Mark, and Priscilla Mafalda, who lost their lives in the devastating crash in Virginia.

Our hearts are with their families, friends, loved ones, and the many communities affected by this tragedy. What should have been a joyful trip to celebrate a family wedding instead became an unimaginable loss, and we grieve alongside all those who are suffering during this difficult time.

We are especially mindful of the Doncev family’s journey to build a life in Massachusetts and the impact they had on those around them. Their loss, along with the loss of Ms. Mafalda, is deeply felt.
