One of the biggest misconceptions about capitalism is that it rewards intelligence. First & foremost, it rewards privilege (being born into wealth). Beyond that, it rewards ruthlessness, manipulation & anyone willing to exploit others. The working class is full of "smart" people.

@daintysloth Folks suffering from mental illness are a marginalized and "unprofitable" group under capitalism. Why invest in treatment when there's plenty of fresh neurotypicals you can exploit into mental illness?

Terribly unfit resource management overall. Think of how much perfectly good food is discarded because it isn't profitable; while some people starve.
