Year 5 are having a super experience as Victorian pupils at the school house in Helston Museum. A few lessons with Mrs Crawford have enabled us to see the many differences in school life now and then. #museumofcornishlife
🏑Amazing team spirit witnessed this week in the primary hockey league. Our team played three matches and got stronger and more confident with each one, scoring 2 goals to win in the final match of the evening 🤩 we are very proud @kernow_learning
Our new shirts did well on their first sports event when they were worn for the area cross country event 2024. 15 children represented our school and they were all amazing! Seven children have also qualified for the 2nd round-whoop🙌

Our basketball team did well at their very first 3x3 festival this week. Winning some games, one draw and some losses. Great team spirit and every one of our players scored 2 pointers 👏🏼@kernow_learning
In our assembly today we were lucky enough to meet Joe who is an editor and writer. He inspired us to start thinking about our own school newspaper and he gave us lots of ideas @kernow_learning

We are delighted to have won the Penryn Partnership Touch Rugby League 2023, winning our last game last night and all the games we played. Today we play the winners from all over West Cornwall at Redruth Rugby ground- very exciting @Kernow_Learning
Our school choir were invited to sing on the bandstand at The Princess Pavilions on Coronation Saturday. They did the most fantastic job of entertaining the crowds and made us so proud @Kernow_Learning

Our hockey team did us proud playing as the Pool 1 runners up & then then winning against Mylor Primary to earn a place in the finals. The final match was won by Flushing - so our team came second in the 2023 league- well done @Kernow_Learning it was a very wet couple of matches!

Self rescue & survival skills is one focus in the pool currently. We have been learning about the HELP (heat exposure lessening position) & the group HUDDLE - both preserve heat. Safe entries included the straddle entry trying to keep our heads above the water 💦 @KLacademytrust
