Today(24) Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena handed over a payment of compensation of Rs 3,640,000 (3.6 mn and forty thousand) to Tanya Harshani Weerabahu as medical claims.The Ministry was able to secure the compensation with the assistance of Sri Lanka Embassy in Lebanon.

Remains of late Amb. Ranjith Gunaratna (SLFS 1992 Batch) who passed away while serving as Consul General Frankfurt was flown to Colombo this afternoon & was received by Foreign Secretary Ravinatha Aryasinha & family of Amb. Gunaratna. Funeral will be held on 30 Jan 2019 in Kandy.
