🇵🇱🇳🇿POLANZ representatives will be attending the NZ - Europe Business Summit in Akl on the 26 of July 2023 (@Pullman Hotel). The Summit organized jointly by the Akl Bussiness Chamber & 🇳🇿NZ - 🇪🇺Europe Business Councill should open a new chapter in NZ & EU economic relations.

During the AGM, POLANZ ,PL- NZ Business Association confirmed its desire to continue supporting initiatives that lead to the strengthening of business relations between 🇵🇱🇳🇿. The newly elected 9-person Committee will be chaired by Piotr Bieganski a very respectable IT specialist.

🇭🇺Dr. Zsolt Hetesy the Hungarian Amb. to NZ was invited by the World Affairs Forum in Akl to deliver a speech about his govt's stand on many issues incl. European security, the war in 🇺🇦, regionalism, & the role of smaller nations like Hungary & NZ amidst big powers competition.

🇪🇺Europe Day reception in Akl. Simon Bridges, the event's Guest of Honour & CEO of the Akl Chamber of Commerce expressed his optimism, that good NZ trade relations with the EU will become even better after the FTA implementation.Nina Obermaier, the EU Amb. spoke in a similar tone

🌹⛪Yesterday,🇵🇱Hon Consul & members of the Polish community laid white & red roses under the Katyn Plaque, which was unveiled in 1990 at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Akl.
The event began with the speech by Hon. Consul followed by prayers led by the Cathedral Priest, Father Glen.

👑🇬🇧The newly crowned Charles III is also the King of NZ. Therefore coronation events were also held in Auckland. Great service at the ⛪Holy Trinity Cathedral was attended by the Government & City officials & members of the Consular Corps. Among the guests was the 🇵🇱 Hon. Consul

🇵🇱Community representatives & many guests were invited to CUE Haven Nature Reserve in Kaipara, to celebrate 🇵🇱Flag & Constitution Days. Speeches by 🇵🇱Amb. Kowal & 🇳🇿Liam Finnigan from the MFAT Akl. Office also focused on the 50th Anniversary of the Polish-NZ diplomatic relations

🇦🇺🇳🇿ANZAC Day. 🇵🇱Hon. Consul B. Nowak attended an annual Dawn Service, held at the Cenotaph Memorial in front of the Akl. Museum.🕯️It was a great, moving reflection on NZ, Australian & Pacific Islands soldiers, who sacrificed their lives during the world conflicts🌺

The 🇵🇱Honorary Consul joined the Jewish community in Auckland to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, which was a heroic act of resistance by the few thousand remaining Jews (from a population of almost 400 thousand kept in Warsaw Getto).
