President @RW_UNP emphasized the imperative to strengthen political, economic, and cultural bonds between #SriLanka and #Indonesia, with a focus on reinforcing the identity of the Indian Ocean, in his official meeting with with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in #Beijing, which I had the pleasure of joining.

President @RW_UNP also shed light on Sri Lanka's ongoing efforts to establish #FTAs with various Asian nations and formalize the existing agreement with #India. It was heartening to see the commitment to regional economic cooperation.

In response, President @jokowi expressed the timeliness of advancing towards a Free Trade Agreement (#FTA) between #Indonesia and #SriLanka, echoing the shared goals of both nations
