"It took a long time for me to trust staff because of where I'd come from. But they really helped me, especially during my GCSE's" - Mollie*, a former Contact resident.
"I think people are surprised at how homely it is. When you hear the word ‘hostel’ you think of somewhere that is unfriendly and impersonal, but Contact is nothing like that. It is such a warm, welcoming place." - Words from one of our Support Workers

We're challenging the stigma of supported accommodation by showing how many young people experience homelessness. Harmful implications:
Can lead to isolation & social exclusion
Can hurt social relationships & opportunities
Can be a barrier to seeking support
Diminish self-esteem
Throwback to the beginning of the month when the girls in hostel made cakes to sell at the IWD Packing Party. They made lemon drizzle cupcakes, cornflake nests and biscoff twists. Many got eaten along the way and the remainder sold at the event which raised a fantastic £537!!
