Four #HyRiver packages have been updated to 0.16.1 with new features.
Highlights:
- PyDaymet has a new function for retrieving #Daymet data from STAC which can be much faster than using THREDDS.
- A new tutorial for navigating #NHD network using networkx
#python#geospatial#GIS
- A new package (PyGridMET) for getting daily climate date from GridMET
- Support for accessing USGS's 3DHP
- A new memory efficient function, py3dep.get_dem_vrt, for accessing large DEM data
- Several new functions for more accurate spline generation and flowline smoothing

- PyGeoUtils: New and improved functionalities for smoothing LineStrings using B-Spline and computing tangent angles, curvature, and radius of curvature.
- PyGeoOGC: You can now use RetrySession as a context manager.
The new versions of #HyRiver packages are out! #Python#GIS#geospatial
Highlights:
- PyGeoHydro: Adds support for getting contours, cloud points, and survey polygons of eHydro's topobathy surveys. You can also get FEMA’s National Flood Hazard Layer (by Fernando Aristizabal).
A new version of PyGeoHydro is out with support for three new web services:
- USGS Short-Term Network (STN), contributed by https://t.co/PvM2BWQzCa
- USACE Hydrographic Surveys (eHydro)
- NLCD 2021
For STN, you can check out this new notebook: https://t.co/31z5matSig
