The acting in The Signal was great. I'll give them that. The ending itself had me feeling like I wasted my time cause all those people died for nothing.

Just started watching #BloodAndWater and I'm struggling with episode 1.
So you meet a girl who shares a birthday with your sister, and you immediately put 2 & 2 together? That's such a crazy stretch.
And why would they arrest the father at the school when he doesn't work there
Sometimes studying at Unisa is discouraging, especially during exam time when lecturers don't provide you with the correct answers for assignments, so you have no way of knowing what you did wrong in the assignment before the exam.

A culture that prioritizes achievements and performance can deeply impact our perception of God's love.
We start internalizing this idea that we're only worthy of love and acceptance if we achieve certain standards or meet certain expectations.
It's as if our value as individuals is determined by what we do or how well we do it. But that's not the kind of love God offers us.
God's love transcends all of that. It reaches into the depths of who we are, beyond our successes or failures, beyond our flaws and imperfections.
Sawako by far is the most annoying anime character I've ever seen. I'm trying to patiently wait for some type of character development or something cause I'm kind of rooting for her but man, it's like she's forever stuck, forever overthinking.
@StheCaleni You'll have to go through the material the lecturers give you. I often use YouTube alongside textbooks, cause the textbooks on their own can be hard to understand. I haven't gotten to any third year modules yet. I'm only doing second year modules.
I just need to know who thought the whole "turn to your neighbour and say..." thing was a great idea.
Most likely an extrovert cause this is genuinely every introvert's nightmare.
If you're a pastor who does this, you need to know that the introverts at your church hate it.
Due to COVID many churches still have online services which is so great for people who are church-hunting but struggle with social anxiety, feel very nervous visiting a new church or simply want to get a "feel" for a church before visiting for the first time in person.
I'm currently looking for a new church in my area using Google and I have to say, churches tend to:
1. Underestimate the value of a good, professional website.
Your website is the first impression church-seekers will have of your church.
2. Underestimate the importance of displaying diversity in their images.
If I can't see people that look like me on your website or social media sites, I'll just assume I'm not welcome.
So you need to watch a lot of YouTube just to understand the course and pass.
For students who don't have enough data, this puts them at an immediate disadvantage.
I've been at a traditional university before, and honestly, long-distance education is not easy at all.
People be talking about how easy UNISA is, but y'all...
I'm a computer science student, and every year, we get lecturers who just tell you what textbook to use and never talk to you again until exam time.
The textbooks sometimes do a horrible job of explaining concepts clearly
Its basically like Paul, becoming "all things to all people" for the sake of the gospel.
So clinging to tradition might not be as great as we think it is.
Disclaimer: This is about adapting yourself to the culture and not conforming in a way that dishonours God.
Some people complain about how people's attention span is getting shorter and that when churches try to adapt to the culture it feels perfomative.
But I think adapting yourself to bring the gospel to a different generation is a beautiful thing.
