Fun (loose) fact:
The Pokemon franchise has generated more lifetime revenue than the entire Star Wars franchise, entire Marvel franchise, and entire Pixar franchise…..COMBINED.
It’s time to start treating Pokemon cards as an alternative asset in your portfolio if you haven’t already?
@elpistollero_ appreciate the honest sharing - does not change my view, it was never about you, P&D happens with bad and good people alike, in this case the company clearly needs to tap into more shareholder money to survive, which is bad for new retailers, just check your long list of straws
@rekurencja with the caveat that the public fact basis for this consensus (Basically grade decline or better: good laterites exploited) is extremely thin, unclear for me if protected areas would be opened when money sings, also Papua (far in the future though)?
@elpistollero_ ok so what is the fair value in your thesis? how long does Largo work with the recent raise? What about the extremely probable delisting or reverse split? oh and what is the track record of the new mgmt. for retail shareholder alignment?
@real_MikeBarnes as expected, not saying they are correct, but the analysts consensus does value it still as hardware constrained business, so far my view plays out - dip before the next report, and if not kudos for the holders
@toiletkingcap I challenge you on that, I think it is going on everywhere since the dawn of humanity - only difference (last 40y or so) , there was some cultural restraint to not make it so clearly visible, question is then, so why does (US-)society now "accept" this (seeing it)
@JacobShap - I hope for the best, but https://t.co/YP3ibGSSy5 potentially drawn in was not on my bingo card, hat tip to Rutte for the right prep: https://t.co/IpUMMGY10e
Belarus and Russia are currently conducting a large military exercise right next to the Suwałki gap with over 9000 soldiers NATO is keeping a close eye with AWACS aircraft up near Kaliningrad and on the Lithuanian and Polish border.
They are simulating a push into Kaliningrad.
Russia has attacked European politicians right on the Polish border.
According to media reports, former British Prime Minister Johnson, Merz advisor Günter Sautter, national security advisors from several European countries, members of the Bundestag, diplomats, and academics were on board the passenger train that was attacked by a Russian drone near the Polish border.
@real_MikeBarnes the thing is - it does not matter much, the multiple is constrained by its own makings (still no clear non-hardware related strategy), I left some shares - but wait for the usual pre-report dip (not there yet), conviction further strengthened by the +$50 which "looks" weak
@rekurencja makes no sense for me, nuclear can be regulated as its supply chain and operation has meaningful (and high-entry-barrier) physical footprint (even that works soso, hence Iran), is the idea to regulate the production and sale of chips then? datasets?
but you are still wrong, your causes are only the surface, the substance lies in the Rome/Karl/catholic/marshall plan west vs. the more Slavic and still impacted by USSR imprint east, different identities different reasons & voting against est. parties
This has been fascinating to watch.
My tweet was in relation to all the MSM coverage that said the AfD win was a sign that ~45% of the electorate had voted for a far-right party.
The point I was trying to make is that the success of the AfD is NOT a sign that people are voting for a far-right party.
They are voting for change.
They are voting against the political status quo and for the situation in which they now find themselves.
I completely understand why they voted that way in their droves. They are right to do so, given the abject failure of the German political class.
This was a vote that screams “Get control of our borders. Clamp down on illegal immigration. Put German citizens’ interests first. Stop burdening the welfare state further.”
Similar votes are coming right across Europe.
In hindsight, I could have worded my tweet much better, but it’s been so interesting to watch the assumptions people have made in the replies.
@JacobShap no idea why anyone is surprised, any real signal is coming from Bavaria (the one state providing the most money) - this year https://t.co/vsJ4jGxDT4 and then 2028 with the next big election, overall just backlashes and mostly discontent
@Mark_IKN just an interested outsider who had a laugh after googling military comparison Argentine vs. Great Britain, but I wonder about the (young?) Argentines that brought him in, do they even care? Milei gives me weak vibes, sadly that means - he will try to impress with stupid stuff
@pineconemacro@JacobShap GDR / USSR vibes, but it always was even in Shanghai the public spaces (Gardens etc.) give this strange impression of cool but also forced state-driven "culture", I grew up in GDR for reference
