@llewcid Whilst waiting to pick up my prescription I listened to a pharmacist call and berate a GP receptionist who turned away a woman with an infected C-section scar and told her just to go to the pharmacy. It's a major surgery, if anything she needed A&E.

This is me still using "outwith" in papers even though all my colleagues are based in England. I will die on the hill that the opposite of within is outwith, and the opposite of inside is outside.
Prior to the copy edit, my editor had queried ‘jag’, wondering if it should be ‘jab’ (as in injection). ‘That, my friend,’ I told him, ‘is the hill I die on…’ 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴

Noughts and Crosses by @malorieblackman got me back into reading when I was 12. It was the first book that made me cry (really weep). Knifes Edge was the first book I rushed out to get on release day. Today I finally finished Endgame.
I can't express how much this series meant to me over the years. I came back to it after seeing Double Cross in a charity shop a couple of years ago and then saw 2 more books were coming out. I love how the books don't match as I acquired and read them over the years.
