@IGN Most of the negative user reviews on Steam are due to the Ubisoft launcher and not the game itself. It's also the reason I didn't buy it.

It's true that Darwin's proposed notion of Lamarckian-inspired pangenesis was superceded by Mendel's theory of inheritence, sure, but I don't think that's what Carlson is driving at.
