Britain has produced a generation of thirty-year-olds who can't afford to move out, can't afford to have children, can't afford to get ill, and can't afford to stop.
They did everything they were told. School, university, the debt, the graduate scheme, the promotion that came with more responsibility and £200 a month.
The reward is a life where every month is spoken for before it starts, with nothing left over to build anything that might eventually get them out.
A million people didn't independently fail. This is what a decade of flat wages against climbing costs actually looks like.
@SpotifyCares I can't access Spotify through my PC. It says I need a 6 digit code which it sends to my email then doesn't work. I try logging in through my browser on my phone and same thing happens. I can still access Spotify through the app. Been like this over a week.
The England FA receive a large amount of criticism. some harsh, some fair, such is the way of anyone or anything tasked with the running of a sport.
Ten years ago the FA released their DNA vision. Gareth Southgate sat at the side of Dan Ashworth as it was unveiled to the public.
Five plus years before that they had released the Future Game and the fantastic Youth Module courses.
Both designed to help develop young players and impact the way that we coach at all levels.
The playing structure was changed, with the introduction of a phased increase, from 5v5 to 7v7 to 9v9 then 11v11.
These changes, along with the significant work done by academies have helped provide players with the talent to reach successive Euros finals.
To help understand the impact -
Mainoo was 9 years old the year the DNA was released.
Bellingham 11, Palmer 12, Saka 12, Foden 14 and so on. They developed in an environment impacted by the DNA or the Future Game.
Credit where it is due.
And bring back the Youth Modules!
The 18s defeated Horsham on penalties 5-4, Kieran Ludlow with the decisive penalty after Ford Robertshaw saved.. The game ended 2-2 with Arthur Karapetyan and Ash Latuske with the Common goals #GLB
2018, more teachers resigned from the profession than any other year PRIOR.
2019, that number was SURPASSED.
2020, that number AGAIN SURPASSED.
2021, BROKE ALL RECORDS making it the biggest teacher resignation year of all-time.
Question: Was anything learned?
Answer: No! 😔
@RJPcoach @SundayShare10 Grass pitches are unplayable between late November and Feb/March. Unfortunately, lack of full-size 3G pitches to support youth and adult sport results in pitch fees of £125 a game. Shame on @hastingsbc and @RotherDC other towns like Eastbourne have 2, soon to be 3 full size 3G!
@Riggers_80@FA Hastings and Rother District has a population of 189,000 people, covers 210sq miles, and has one full-size 3G facility. Charging £125.00 a match and £29ph for a 1/3. Needless to say, it is fully booked. With more than 40 clubs supporting Men's, Women's, Youth and Vets football.
