Carlos in 25’ Monza:
- as the car who qualified in front but not put on the suggested best strategy bc of the “team game”.
- lap 16 ask to box early to undercut or box to overtakes, team rejected.
- lap 23 report fronts are going.
- lap 24 ask to box before swap the car, team rejected.
- lap 25 ask to let Alex try to pull him with DRS, team agreed but msg was never delivered to Alex.
- lap 27 report front dead but team said keep going.
- lap 30 ask to box again, finally box at lap 31. still coming out behind a DRS train. (“Overcut” 3 cars bc ALO dnf, TSU&LAW contacted)
So what else he could do?
Yes he could’ve fighting for P10/P9 without the contact with BEA. I simply don’t understand, why was it when your model suggested Hards is the best strategy, it’s the car in front taking gamble and bearing the risks?
