It was school wide field trip day and we traveled to visit our Hispanic countries. It was a great way to wrap up and share all that we learned during this past month.
I love the view from my window this morning. Our 3rd graders are digging deep with caterpillars thanks to our partnership with GreenKids and the Entomologists at George Washington and Georgetown University.
It was the most perfect night for our last Title 1 family event with Stem Activities. Simply the best staff working for the best students in a great community.
We do a staff game every first Friday of the month. Today we had a whole day rock paper scissors tournament for Lei necklaces. In the end, it’s not about the game, winners or losers. It’s the laughs heard in the hallway, the smiles on my teachers faces and a small moment of joy.
It’s a special day when our students at Cool Spring are treated to a bilingual read aloud with President Pines from UMD and one of our students! Thanks for visiting President Pines!
I am so proud of all of my teachers this week. Each grade level took a turn to engage and explore their BOY to MOY data. They challenged each other’s practice and set actions steps to EOY. I could not be more excited to see it in action!
The Kindergarten team rocked their data inquiry today. They started the day very nervous but unpacked, reflected and pushed each other’s practice. The team that grows together grows student performance.
When 40 percent of your scholars hit their typical growth for the year at the mid year… we celebrate! I am so proud of these kids and the staff that pushed them to get here.
Definitely grateful for our partnership with Becauseican! We had our first two parents graduate from our tech classes. We are community strong for our kids!
Our families had a blast last week at our Science night. I highly recommend using the MD Science Center Family Outreach. All the staff was awesome and knowledgeable. We cannot wait to have them back! The kids that came are still talking about it.
