Delighted that the ICAI Council has decided to reopen the CA Final Examination Form window.

Considering the early opening and closing of the examination form window this time, along with the transition from three examination attempts to two attempts in a year, this decision provides much-needed relief to students who could not submit their forms due to genuine reasons.

It is a thoughtful and student-centric decision that balances administrative requirements with fairness and opportunity. My sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble President, the Council, and everyone involved in taking this positive step.

This relaxation should not be taken as precedence in future.

Wishing all students the very best for their preparations.

Whether we speak or stay silent, criticism follows. I choose to speak because silence does not solve issues. Many members share the same feelings as a common professional.

At the same time, some even say, wait till elections, some took screen shots, some call me BJP person, some say person of Govt, some say how much I am paid for & much more, some even curse to institute & elected representatives but my intent is simple, to raise genuine concerns as a professional that affect us all.

You all aware that institute has earlier communicated to department that institute will not go to department for date extension issue, its department and trade bodies who has to look and consider.

Existing govt elected by citizen of india is working since last 12 years. The department’s portal glitches have become a yearly challenge since its launch. Professionals face immense stress as deadlines approach,clients delay, yet pressure mounts on CAs. While in earlier years, extensions were granted (sometimes suo moto, sometimes by court intervention), now the stance has changed, even through courts have granted relief to the department in earlier years and the decision of the department remains final, the department sends reminders to assessees about due dates that emphasise ‘no extension.’

On one hand, the data shows more than 7 crore returns have been filed, a big achievement. On the other, the lived reality of professionals struggling with portal issues cannot be ignored.

We are not here to criticize anyone, but to expect that these systemic issues be resolved once and for all. Constructive feedback should not be seen as opposition, it is a collective call for smoother compliance and respect for the profession.

I urge department to ensure timely release of ITR forms & utilities, bugs in portal to be reported & corrected on time.

I will be very honest in saying that at the same time, we also need to change our mind set of doing the things on last date. Let us also try to release and manage the undue pressure by changing the way of practice we are following since years.
