This decision correctly upheld the plain text and historical meaning of the 14th Amendment’s Citizenship Clause.

Although what they ruled on was a shitty clause, That is precisely what SCOTUS is meant to do. SCOTUS’s role is to interpret the Constitution as written, not fix policy problems via executive action.

President Trump always knew The executive order was an improper unilateral rewrite of settled constitutional and statutory law.

I said it yesterday… this requires Congress or a constitutional amendment.

And we just happen to have that in Congress right now. Been sitting since January 2025.

I’m not sure why… but I feel like this is working out exactly how it is supposed to.

Trump is really emphasizing the importance of the Slaughter decision at the SC. It allows him to fire/hire the heads of “independent” agencies.

Power of the bureaucracy has now shifted dramatically in favor of POTUS. Trump is now allowed to cleanse any Deep State tentacles that were embedded in our regulatory agencies. Trump now has control over who oversees these agencies, and can install loyalists.

Not only that, this ruling solidifies Article II, and established precedent for other similar cases. The Supreme Court just solidified that the Executive holds the ultimate authority. This could come in handy later.

In conclusion, massive victory for Trump and MAGA. The swamp is being drained.
