@mochimitsu7@gabegathers@Reva_02_ I don’t think you can say there are no story surprises since the game isn’t out yet, and the last two had story surprises. The gameplay probably will be mostly the same, but they already showed at least 3 major shakeups in just these short trailers so I think there will be more.
@CeeOhOh@UiskHtsk@inkblotPrincess Yeah all my favorite bosses would have been made worse with long runbacks. Especially with how deadly some of the Elden Ring enemies are. If they put more of those divine guardian guys that control elements in between you and PCR I would respectfully have to turn the game off lol
@CeeOhOh@UiskHtsk@inkblotPrincess Yeah I agree with everything you said. That’s partly why I had to go back to ds1 to find a good boss run example lol. Personally I like it better this way, and I think the improvement to most bosses has been worth the extra checkpoints. Some exceptions exist, sure, but still good
@CeeOhOh@UiskHtsk@inkblotPrincess I generally agree, but I think it is sometimes more complicated. Some of the catacombs in the game take like 20 minutes so it makes sense that when you unlock the boss door it acts as a permanent checkpoint. But for Bed of Chaos, I wouldn’t even remember it without the run.
@CeeOhOh@UiskHtsk@inkblotPrincess I think it depends right? Sometimes you should spawn next to the boss, and sometimes you shouldn’t. It’s not always the same all the time.
@dabeegfrog@FriccenFriend@79hfg3n3948rhf0 Some people just don’t want to read the real story, they like the one in their head better. And I can respect that, but they didn’t have to be so mean about it lol.
@DarekOrWhatever@79hfg3n3948rhf0 But I like to think that he came to watch over the War Dead Catacombs where his men are buried before finally going fully insane from the rot. That part is probably just head cannon, but the stuff about the bloom I’m more sure about.
@DarekOrWhatever@79hfg3n3948rhf0 As for why he moved to the other desert if that is what happened, it’s possible he just mindlessly shambled there and has stayed ever since to eat all the corpses(which would indicate that there was a fight here between their two armies, perhaps it was where their battle started)
@Morsker@TarnishedW1 Like no 10 minute buff routine before entering the fight, or using raptor of the mists to dodge attacks or any complicated stance break scripting. Just a normal fight without any shenanigans. If he had used spirit ashes I would say all the same stuff, I have no problem with them
@Morsker@TarnishedW1 Well the weapon is very strong especially with bleed and/or the deflecting hardtear(neither of which were in the video but they would have made it even easier if they were used) And my point with the challenge thing is that the guy didn’t do anything the average player couldnt do
@Morsker@TarnishedW1 You think no one will fight him with backhand blades their first time? The brand new cool weapon type that you just got? It’s not like he’s doing a challenge run or anything he just fought the boss without getting hit much. I got hit a ton but it’s ok. You only need to win once
@Adene_Z@467Doggo@TheGreatGario Hard to say because objects seem to become a lot more deadly when affected by the flow of calamity. Like at one point in Part 8, the main group gets rained on while thinking about going after WOU, and the rain drops start piercing through them like bullets. So could be anything.
@Gol_D_ego@IlIlIIlIlI24993@Kennichijou Yes this is the other major thing. The coloring team doesn’t always seem to know what Araki was going for and frequently makes uninspired color choices or just outright mistakes. I still like that it exists as an option, but I wish they would be more careful.
@IlIlIIlIlI24993@Kennichijou The line work is a lot less clear and makes some insane looking panels seem a little plain, especially in later parts. It’s not a bad way to read the series, but I do think it has a negative on how many scenes and stands look.
