Since re-opening the Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre in November we have heard loads of stories about the old days of the centre when it was named The South Dennistoun Neighbourhood Centre (SDNC) and one of the memories that stood out to us was the old Reidvale Disco’s 🪩

After hearing stories about these disco’s and the fun memories they have given to many local people from their childhoods we are pleased to announce that we will be bringing the Reidvale Disco to todays generation on Tuesday 12th March 2024 🕺💃

This disco will take place from 5:30pm until 7pm and is for 5-12 year olds in the Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre @ 13 Whitevale Street, G31 1QW 🤩

There will be loads of fun had with music, dancing, party dances, party games, prizes to be won, snacks & lots more! 😀

Kids can be dropped off & picked up with no need for adults to stay ❤️

We are delighted to announce that for the 4th year in a row we will once again be offering a FREE Christmas lunch for anyone who needs it on Christmas Day 🎄🎅

This year the lunch will take place inside the Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre at 13 Whitevale Street, G31 1QW. The centre will be open from 12pm on Christmas Day with fun games and chat over some tea and coffee, lunch will then be served from 1pm 🤩

As well as the option to come in person to the Reidvale centre we also offer free delivery to those who are unable to leave the house, lunch will be delivered to the address provided on Christmas Day and will be ready to heat up and eat whenever you like 🚚

Our new cafe, Rewind Cafe, is officially open from tomorrow morning at 8am and we can’t wait to welcome you 🤩

Rewind Cafe is an 80s themed cafe with something for everyone, as part of Bluevale Community Club all profit made goes back into the community helping to keep the Reidvale Centre open to the community ❤️

For the opening week there will be a smaller menu which will be much the same as the menu we had at the opening day 😋

This menu includes both Scottish Breakfast and Vegetarian Breakfast as well as hot filled rolls, there is also a variety of egg dishes such as Eggs Benedict 🍳

Also on the menu there is pancakes, kids meals, soup and not forgetting the small plate dishes which includes loaded fries, onion rings, haggis pakora and more which were very popular at our open day. There really is something for everyone 🌟

You can find Rewind Cafe just off Duke Street at 13 Whitevale Street, the cafe team can’t wait to see you and serve you with some delicious food 🔥

We had a fantastic day at the FREE Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre opening day on Saturday with over 500 people attending from the local community 🤩

There was loads to do for all ages with activities such as Tai Chi, Clubbercise, Mat Pilates, Bouncy Castle, Football Darts, Table Tennis, Gaming, Dancing, Face Painting and LOTS MORE! 🕺

We’d like to thank @LordProvostGCC, Councillor George Redmond & Councillor Linda Pike for coming along and helping to re-open the centre 🌟

The re-opening of the centre is all down to support from @pfpscotland and we would like to thank Katie and her team for being so supportive through the process ❤️

We would also like to give a special mention to Jacqui Anderson at Reidvale Housing Association for all of her support and help. Jacqui and her team at Reidvale have been absolute lifesavers, without this support we would not have been able to open on the 13th and we look forward to working with the staff in future ✨
