Although passwordless technology is in the works as outlined by @Microsoft (https://t.co/F8eZqrJTED), enterprises should invest more time and resources into ensuring all stakeholders, including employees, third parties, and customers follow stringent password protocols.
Recommendations:
- Use passphrase instead of password (include upper and lower case letters, numbers and extended characters like #, $ and &)
- Beware of public Wi-Fi
- Use multi-factor authentication
- Check for leaks (change the password on any site whose password was leaked)
