@RobertMCutler Aussie coal is actually very energy-dense and relatively less dirty, thus more expensive.
That's why cheap countries prefer dirtier/cheaper Indonesia coal.
Plus Australia is much better at regulating the coal mining & export operations.
Pragmatic countries, like #Azerbaijan and Singapore, get most of their electricity power generation from natural gas, a cleaner burning fossil fuel.
Comparing to many larger countries which mine dirty coal and burn massive amounts of dirty #coal.
