Bryan Woo went into his start on Thursday against New York knowing his grandfather was likely passing that night.
Woo took a no-hitter through 7 innings and his grandfather, John, passed away shortly after.
Bryan’s mother Hilary on his performance:
“Bryan knew when he was pitching in New York that his grandfather was passing that night, and we all were worried about him, but at the same time, we encouraged him to use it as fuel and take him out there with him.”
Just incredible resilience from Bryan ❤️
