@BenjaminNorton@Noahpinion The graph Noah posted states the data is "adjusted for differences in living costs between countries" - but since that apparently isn't PPP what type of adjustment does this refer to?
@treerex5@DEhnts@ZSchneeweiss@Simon_Nixon The ECB is a supranational organization, they can simply decide not to lend to Greece. The BoE on the other hand is part of the national Government. This is the difference between a currency user (Greece) and a currency issuer (UK).
@kolasi78083@CreativeDeduct@emmanuelokware_@ProfSteveKeen@brew56200@grok If Bank A lends to a consumer, but then transfers the funds to Bank B its balance sheet remains the same length (but swap reserves for loan asset) whereas the balance sheet of Bank B gains reserves asset and deposit liablity.
Not sure if that answers your question.
@oguz_balim31760@realniles_@blacknredtext I think you are utterly delusional so I will not bother commenting further. But I want to let you know that I didnt mean to insult short men, I use manlet as a neutral term. The pain short men are forced to endure is immense.
Nein Danke.
