We rarely celebrate the policeβs triumphs - we only ever see them in the news when something goes wrong.
But for every failure, there are thousands more successes.
Imagine the effect on morale knowing that the only time anyone will pay attention to you is when a mistake is made.
@DC_Defective Well done.... I got covid just before Xmas and my chest has not been the same since but I'm on the mend... Feel much more groggy at work but hey its still the best job in the world despite what a lot of people would say who've never done it
@Dontlookback198 @RobertBuckland@MoJGovUK The sad thing is I see this kind of result all the time... The courts need huge investment and massive overhaul. I know quite often a crime I have been dedicated to solving will be brushed aside by the courts.... Its not just domestic abuse of course but DA is such a awful crime
Today is one of those days where I felt like not getting out of bed but the amazing thing about what I do is whatever people say I often get the chance to make a difference and save peoples lives. I do this job to protect people and that's what I will continue to do. #Police
@anfieldkathy @policecommander She's joining a fantstic career and will get the chance to make a difference. On my first day my first inspector told me : there will be times when it gets too much to handle but then a job will come along it will reignite your passion and remind you why you do it. He was right
Is it just me or has twitter gotten really toxic lately.... Everyone desperate to shout each other down and no one allows anyone to have a opinion.... Whatever happened to good old fashioned listening to others and learning and whilst not agreeing with others at least accepting
@leenskinds@ZubyMusic I agree... Once everyone has been offered vaccine there should be no more restrictions.... Those who are worried get vaccine... I'm Gonna have it... Those who aren't don't have it and take risk... At that point everyone has had a choice.. Just my view though
@ZubyMusic I thought kids didn't have to wear masks in school? Is this the individual schools choice?? The boxes are the maddest things I've ever seen..... Kids find it hard enough to learn basic social skills as it is these days and this won't help
@leogcormier@ZubyMusic Definitely I agree... The early years are so important for development... Let's hope of no long term impacts. It was tough on my mother as her grandma when she finally got to see her and she didn't recognise her without mask.. I feel lucky to have not had to grow up with all this
@TStrawberryPost@ZubyMusic Definitely it's a outcome I never considered till I saw it for myself.... Can't imagine her brain thinking masks are a normal part of a person
@NatashaSHenry Absolutely. doing the job I do I unfortunately see the long term curve with this. So many young boys raised in abusive households grow up and end up being abusive towards women in later life themselves. Better role models from the men that raise them would go a long way to help.
@CrimeGirI @lauracwinter Interesting POV and I take it on board. I certainly don't own the ladies in my life however being a father etc makes me worry because I love her more than anything and I fear as a woman she is at way more risk than the men in my life. Woman have always had value to me of course
@Anytd2 @ZubyMusic Yes but by attempting to shout down my opinons you are.... I believe the lockdown was necessary... You don't... You're entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine. Otherwise we would all be the same. You've come across in an unnecessarily aggressive fashion... Take care
@Hayley20291790 @ZubyMusic Yeah defo ive always been in good nick and I'm a lot better than I was... My strength training is going well but my running isnt back to pre covid performance.... I knew someone who had glandular fever it's brutal so well done for getting over it π
