Salmon were not ready to share their eggs in today's egg-take, but we had a great field trip! Cordova students participated in stations hosted by the CRWP and Prince William Sound Science Center to learn more about parts of a watershed and salmon spawning habitat. #education

This magnificent, massive watershed is the home of diverse wildlife habitat for bears, caribou, moose, mountain goats, sheep, wolves, waterfowl and many other species, including humans. This place we live is one of the last intact watersheds in North America.

Program Director Kate Morse hosted Cordova 3rd graders this week at the CRWP office! They learned about the water cycle, built their own watershed out of crumpled paper, and were able to play with the hydroscape to learn more about local waterways.

It was an exciting week for the Little Tonsina Bridge project! Girders arrived and it will start to look more like a bridge now. This bridge will span the Little Tonsina River, allowing removal of remaining culverts leading to unimpeded fish passage up this critical tributary.
