To sum up the letter the NFL sent to Brendan Sorsby:

- The league wasn't planning on having a supplemental draft this year and Sorsby's application was the only one they received.

- With Sorsby submitting only a handful of days ahead of the deadline, the NFL felt there wasn't enough time to properly evaluate the situation and didn't have a complete record of the NCAA"s investigation.

- It was stated that the petition didn't have any supporting information or documentation as to why Sorsby should be granted entry after being declared ineligible to play college football.

- The league did make it clear they have very real concerns regarding the pattern of improper gambling activity during Sorsby's collegiate career.

- The NFL used the word "integrity" several times within the letter in what appears to also be an effort to drive home their stance on gambling.

- It closes with stating playing in the NFL is a "privilege" and Sorsby should focus on preparing for "possible" entry into the 2027 draft.
