Victims of human trafficking are exploited for forced labour, organ removal and criminal activities.
At #CCPCJ35, discussions focus on improving investigations, identifying victims and increasing cooperation across borders so victims are protected, not punished.
Armed groups recruit children to boost military capacity or to add pliant human resources.
We work to eliminate all forms of child trafficking, including the recruitment and use of child soldiers.

UNVTF-grantee @Secourshumanite is helping young women move beyond the exploitation of forced marriages in DRC 🇨🇩
They are listened to, believed and empowered.
One beneficiary of their tailored services was Shukuru Sarah; she said, "This project has given back my name, my voice and my future."

Human trafficking & migrant smuggling are two different crimes but often overlap.
Confusing them can deny victims' protection and justice.
UNODC supports law enforcement, policymakers & the judiciary to enforce laws to combat both effectively.

Human trafficking is constantly evolving & so must our response.
Law enforcement needs to follow the money & harness new tech to dismantle organized crime.
Justice systems should focus on protecting survivors & ensure traffickers are held accountable.

Nearly 20,000 children fell victim to trafficking in 2020.
Child trafficking destroys childhood, harms development and perpetuates cycles of poverty and exploitation.

Human trafficking doesn’t hide in the shadows.
It hides in corrupt systems.
Corruption limits investigations, weakens prosecutions, and silences victims and whistleblowers.
This must stop!

Trafficking for organ removal targets people in vulnerable situations.
Law enforcement and justice professionals play a critical role in identifying and prosecuting this crime.
Our toolkit supports their work with practical guidance to protect victims and deliver justice ↓
Women and girls are the most vulnerable to human trafficking.
While many are trafficked for sexual exploitation, others face forced labour, domestic work or forced marriages.
No woman or girl should endure exploitation.
#EndHumanTrafficking
As global supply chains grow more complex, the risks of forced labour in the food we eat, clothes we wear and tech we use also grow.
Stronger laws and oversight are key to stopping organized crime from profiting from exploitation.
#EndHumanTrafficking
Forced criminality can be a form of human trafficking.
Victims are coerced into drug production and distribution.
Those forced into crime deserve protection—not prosecution.
