@RepPeteStauber Yet one more weak attempt to sell off MN minerals for the benefit of a foreign owned corporation Glencore. You are bought and paid for....
@StarTribune Maybe if we actually wanted roads that lasted instead of cash cows for private companies we could be doing better. You cant tell me there isn't better materials and designs out there. 30 yr roads.
@LaurieGandrud@WCCO Not enough. If you don't make $300 a week, it isn't worth your time. If you have to get gov. assistance and work 40hrs what's the point. We shouldn't have to subsidize companies that can't pay a living wage.
@IcemanMPLS @WCCO 40% of the population can't weather a $400 expense, and the top 1% hold 15 times more wealth than the bottom 50% This isn't about gaining skills, this is a problem of how we structure our society. I don't think half of our population should be living paycheck to paycheck.
@Tyronehairy @Everyda25701202 @WCCO I haven't tried crack. Pretty un-american of you to think we can't work together and improve our society. Personal responsibility is a lazy way of not giving a damn. I got mine so f-off, we can do better.
@IcemanMPLS @WCCO Yeah to what end? Some soul sucking job that you hate. Where you don't make enough money to afford housing and healthcare. Where you can't afford to have a family, or if you can you spend so much time working that you don't have any time to spend with them. We all deserve better.
@Everyda25701202 @Tyronehairy @WCCO Free to die in the street? It is our responsibility as a society to make sure that we don't devolve into some sort of dystopia.Tent cities, suicides, opioid abuse, people grinding there lives away at jobs they hate so someone can have a yacht that goes inside their other yacht.
@Tyronehairy @WCCO What is your solution? Pay $80k a year to put them in prison? It isn't a zero sum game where you lose when someone else gets something. We have plenty of resources if we put our energy toward helping people instead of endless pointless growth.
@RepPeteStauber Here is another perspective. If pete was actually representing the 8th he would be talking about this too. He is more interested in giving MN away to foreign national corporations.
