I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe.
Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development.
• Set 600+ years after the Reaper War
• You play as a customizable N7 agent
• Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond
• Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending
• A galaxy divided into three major factions
• Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together
• Council races forming their own alliance
• The Geth emerging as a third superpower
• A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary
• Geth-built megastructures
• Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda
• Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference
• Hacking and manipulating the environment
• See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more
• Handcrafted missions like ME1-3
• But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them
• Brutal close-range executions
• Squadmates who can clash with each other
• Romance wasn't being sanitised
• Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch
From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist.
It looked incredible.
And now we may never get to play it.

@NeonBirdGames I still think (if it was at all viable) BioWare (or former BioWare devs using a different studio name) should try and be independent and not be owned by another Publisher.
Imagine a tweet from @XBOX at some indeterminate point in the future, with just this image. @ballmatthew@asha_shar have you ever wanted to save the universe?
Fuck, man, fuck. It's a bit rough in places, as is to be expected but fuck, this genuinely could have been something good. Still only cutscenes, though, with a tiny bit of combat gameplay.
@QueerNerdyLefty I'm glad it's not just me. Folks love the Suicide Mission and some of the DLC but do they truly love the linear corrider shooting stuff and the lack of RPG elements?
@VCrosoft That reminds me: Endymion was moaning about an English-speaking VA earlier and folks in the comments were saying play it in Japanese with subtitles and my brain went "that'd mean Endymion would have to learn how to read".
I could probably scroll for hours and continue reading the words of support for the studio, the legacy, and the impact that BioWare has had on you. It means so much to us. There is so much talent on this team of of OGs, so if you are aware of any roles, please send them. I will personally vouch for everyone in my crew.
As for me:
At least i don't have to call in sick when GTA 6 comes out.
