Cordaid donated 300 tents and 1.500 blankets to 300 families (one tent and five blankets per household) that have lost their houses because of the catastrophic #earthquake that struck #Gyan district of the #Paktika province on June 22, 2022.

Cordaid through AHF has provided cash for shelter repairing/upgrading to 380 households living in damaged or make-shift shelters where families faced health and safety risks. The intervention took place in the Spinghar, Achin, and Nazyan districts of Nangarhar province.

Cordaid, with the support of #EU, has inaugurated an oxygen production plant in Shaheed Mohammad Ibrahim Basim #Covid-19 hospital in Herat province. This facility can produce 16100 litres of oxygen per hour to fulfil the needs of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Hospital.
From January to April 2022, in Kabul, Cordaid, through a #EU funded healthcare activity, has conducted thirty-six reproductive health awareness and education sessions for 609 community health workers and eligible women.

We had the honour to host @HNeumannMEP, Member of the European Parliament, and colleagues from the @EUinAfghanistan, for a site visit to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Kabul. With #EU support, Cordaid has installed an oxygen production plant to improve the #COVID19 ICU response.

21 SMEs received their certificates in Herat, following completion of the business acceleration course provided through the @EU_Commission funded RAWNAQ project. In this 5-week-long training, participants learned how to use the “business model canvas” to grow their businesses.
Cordaid in response to the humanitarian needs in Daikundi distributed cash for food to 700 households. This also includes fifty women-headed households that received assistance for food as well as an allocation to start a small-scale business as a sustainable source of income.

Cordaid in Nazyan district in the eastern Nangarhar province has established a water network with a reservoir of 10,000 liters of drinking water to support 108 households in the area where people were traveling miles to get drinking water.

Through a humanitarian intervention funded by @UNOCHA, Cordaid has assisted five hundred households with cash assistance for shelter repairing in #Urozgan.
