@MMccoy16179@ByzCat@Yearns4Heaven Please don’t tell me how these things work 😂
The rigorous process ordinarily provided for by canon law can always be bypassed by the Supreme Pontiff who, as Vatican I dogmatically defined, always possesses “supreme and immediate” jurisdiction in the governance of the Church.
@MMccoy16179@ByzCat@Yearns4Heaven The pope *is* the authority behind canon law. It’s law because he says its law. He is not bound by canon law in declaring someone excommunicated.
@normonics The postconciliar iconoclasts were confident that things would never turn away from their preferences.
We never know what the future will bring. It’s always better to stay vigilant.
@WalkingHymnal How would a TLM ordinariate square with the existence of the FSSP?
I don’t foresee Leo doing something to harm the FSSP’s raison d’être.
@HikingCatholic@normonics I am well aware of the history.
Never SSPX.
TC will be dealt with soon, & those who have been obedient under the duress it has caused will experience a new springtime, much like the discalced Carmelites did in the 16th century.
For SSPX, it is now indefinite winter. Repent!
@JaySyfr@holysmoke The point is to shock the lay faithful into returning to full communion with the Church through FSSP or ICKSP parishes and to give up the Lefebrvist sect
@rustyoscardev@normonics And what did Cardinal Müller say a few days ago about the SSPX consecrations?
The FSSP, formed mere months after the Lefevrist sect started, has done and will do the same.
Never SSPX.
