The Core 4 Sequence is not an anatomical puzzle representation of functional divisions found in the brain.
Simply, it's a concept used to spark conversation that leads to understandings of our mind and how it works while we perform our respective duties.

@HelenBevanTweet @RichDecibels Nancy Fraser made this same point (that focusing on hierarchy can cover over other toxic behaviors) when she critiqued identity politics.
Loved seeing the ways we can apply transparency and empathy through the process of completing an organization's objective.
we do care more about how the building of our material culture appears to others (including our bodies) and wonder less of how our internal perception has been formed that makes us merely perceive our lives this way.
Both are necessary. Should one be desired over the other?
American culture is preoccupied with youth culture to the detriment of our valuing elders wisdom.

Perhaps our pop culture needs the invisible hand of our elders more than the invisible hand of markets. Who knows? I'll let history tell it. But....
Watch clip of economist Thomas Hoenig try to explain to Jon Stewart why we the U.S. can't print money to pay debt. Conclusion? Even the foundation of our economics is faith-based.
It would be funny if not tragic.

the fight is about answering ‘who or what should be the center of economics?’ other Elohim whose highest value is maximizing personal gain or Yahweh who claims that He is the highest value. Adam chose.
This fight still persists - from ancient nations to current personal choices.
The ultimate thematic backdrop that couches the main story of the Bible is economics and who is central to it.

The Garden Of Eden is the symbol of this perspective – the tree of life in the center of the trees. As God tethers himself to the prohibited tree,
I meant to say the lucifer does equate skill and personhood... and since i get to correct my mistake I'll add status and looks to skill.
Most folk i know are on a journey to break free of this cultural mindset. We all have friends, mentors etc, keeping us accountable. Push on.
Valuation of skills does not equate with valuation of personhood.
#MeditationChewables
In the biblical mystic tradition, the first to think this way was lucifer.
We're no better than anyone else although skillsets are hierarchical. Respect of persons over another hides evil
Love is obedience to the values of another.

Is that true? If so, is there an ordering of who or what we should love first? If so, does that impact what we can love subsequently?
Maybe it's not ranked but situational?
Who knows?
Read. Sip. Converse.
"Keane tacitly distinguishes at least four levels of social reality. Let’s call them the physiological, the psychological, the sociological, and the anthropological. Each emerges out of the other. Human culture emerges out of human interactions...."
Gotta read, sip & converse
This great article by Philip Gorski- "Where Do Morals Come From"- shows that secular theories cannot account for ethical life. I.e.- no one really believes their moral values are socially constructed or produced by evolution--even if they claim it. https://t.co/ucz0v4ySsu
He hoped beyond fields of despair, not just for justice for blacks but for a glorious nation to be worth its praises.
Naive, possibly. Optimistic, certainly.
Should we move from these mountains? Who knows. But time waits for no one, so we move with it. Forward.
#MLKDay
One of MLK Jr's speeches that resonates the most with me is "Keep Moving From This Mountain". He gave it at Spelman College.
He back-dropped the biblical story of the children of Israel having to leave Mt. Sinai and said that we (in America) need to move from these 4 mountains:
Mountain #4
Corroding hatred and Crippling Violence
The principle found here is the one we all have heard him champion consistently - Use Love not Hate but do not accept oppression.
MLK Jr cared for the building of the country itself in a founding father's visionary kind of way
Several people have asked me to recommend a straightforward, clear guide on complexity thinking & how it supports system transformation. This "field guide" from @Sys_innovation gives an excellent overview of different perspectives & aspects of complexity: https://t.co/PYDtPKUrx0
