Core Ecosystem

Latest news from the @CoreDao_org Ecosystem.

[Core DAO 🔶 @Coredao_Org]

Core is taking another step towards decentralization.

Since 2023, DAO-operated validators have helped keep blocks flowing as independent operators joined and strengthened the network. Together, these validators have supported years of uninterrupted block production.

Over the coming months, the DAO will fulfill its long-term plan and begin the process of gradually handing over its remaining block-production role to independent validators, building on the work these operators already do to keep Core running.

This transition marks a new chapter for Core, with independent operators powering the network.

Thank you to every validator and Coretoshi who has helped move Core forward.

Ever heard about the recent issue on Core?

Here’s what actually happened, what Core did about it, and why your funds are safe.

I broke it down in few mins. 👇

[Core DAO 🔶 @Coredao_Org]

The v1.0.26 hardfork is now live on Core mainnet and the reward issuance issue is resolved.

The upgrade closed the vulnerability and burned 150M+ CORE of excess issuance, removing it from supply permanently. No transactions were rolled back and no user funds were lost. We expect staking rewards to return to normal within 48 hours. A full post-mortem will follow.

[Core Ecosystem @CoreEcosystem]

Coretoshis! This is the new status update on the recent issue.

Assets are safe and a forward upgrade to permanently fix the issue is on the way.

Full post-mortem deport to follow. 🔶

[Core DAO 🔶 @Coredao_Org]

Update: the issue is contained and the malicious validators can no longer draw excess rewards.

We're now coordinating an emergency hardfork with validators to deploy the permanent fix. This is a forward upgrade, not a rollback.

Assets remain safe. Full post-mortem to follow.

Important announcement Coretoshis!

Know that mitigations are already in progress and user assets are safe.

[Core DAO 🔶 @Coredao_Org]

Core Network — Status Update

We're aware of an issue causing a small number of validators to accrue block rewards above the protocol's intended issuance.

The root cause is identified and mitigations are in progress. User assets are safe. This affects reward issuance only, not the network's security or the custody of any funds.

Full post-mortem to follow once contained.

b14g Q2 2026 Burn Update

This quarter’s burn is complete.

🔥 27,264.35 CORE permanently burned
🔥 85,669.49 BABY permanently burned

These burns are funded by real activity across b14g products - not token emissions or artificial incentives.

More BTC staked
→ more participation
→ more protocol usage
→ more fees generated
→ more CORE and BABY removed from circulation.

This is how b14g turns Bitcoin infrastructure adoption into long-term value for the ecosystems we build on.

Official Core contributor accounts are on @Coredao_Org affiliates. Some tagged here are also fake accounts

[Core Ecosystem @CoreEcosystem]

Coretoshis, take care on these folks posing as someone from Core. Core contributors will not reach out to you like this.

Report all these fake accounts and share the information to avoid others from being victimized.

[Aayush Gupta 🦇🔊 @Aayush_gupta_ji]

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

Active scam targeting Web3 devs right now. @AdamBendjemil reaches out on X claiming to be a contributor and BD at @Coredao_Org, pitching a strategic advisory group helping startups in the Core DAO ecosystem and adjacent chains. Says your technical skills would be useful.

Moves the conversation to Telegram, where he adds you to a group with other scammers posing as @DominusDomitius, @JX_Solv, @CoreChrisFlores, @DylanDennisCore (Core DAO ecosystem leads).

Then they send an "NDA" as a Google Doc. The doc contains a fake "Google OAuth2 update" page that tells you to paste a base64 bash command into Terminal to "decrypt" it. That command is malware. The moment you run it, your machine is compromised: wallet keys, seed phrases, GitHub tokens, SSH keys, all gone.

Real @Coredao_Org has nothing to do with this. They're being impersonated.

Block, report, do not click, do not run anything. RT so the next dev sees this in time.

[Core Ecosystem @CoreEcosystem]

Z is the first project to franchise Satoshi Plus. That matters because it’s not just “another partnership.”

Fees from Z flow back to CORE. Airdrops go to CORE holders. The more Z grows, the more Core benefits.

And the thesis is hard to ignore. AI agents are about to transact at a scale humans never will. They need private rails. Z is building exactly that, on top of Core’s infrastructure.

This is the flywheel in action. 🔶
