I never said I expected them to be a Cup contender next season, that would be ridiculous.

My concern is that they won’t become a legitimate contender within the next three years because they’re delaying the inevitable rebuild.

They’ve already traded away draft picks to make the team better in the short term and I’m worried those moves won’t be enough to make them a contender.

If that’s the case, they’ll have sacrificed long term assets without getting what they were hoping for, which could set them back even further
