San Joaquin Sheriff Patrick Withrow was discussing Shakir Khan, a Lodi councilman who pled no contest to election fraud (falsely registering ~70 voters via his email/phone/address, stashing 41 ballots). Khan won by 282 votes, resigned, and was sentenced to 3 years jail in March 2026.
Sheriff himself: “This investigation has only uncovered criminal activity in our county here, in a local election… no impact on any state or federal elections.”
CA requires U.S. citizenship oath under penalty of perjury. This was one bad actor (not “illegals”) abusing the system — and it was caught & prosecuted. Not statewide rigging. Facts over fear.
