crazy to think that this is the last time we got to hear him voicing bugs bunny and it almost never got released. he should’ve had way more years ahead of him, still doesn’t make sense that he’s gone. RIP Eric Bauza
RIP Eric Bauza, one of the greatest of all time. Did almost every single one of those voices in Coyote vs Acme. Someone who clearly loved these characters so much that he wasn't just doing Mel Blanc, he made them his own.

good god, i might have another You Can See Everything piece in me. ugh. maybe i should save it for later, since it ain't gonna be leaving the discourse for many months.
@JustSayRad the meta interventions in this film aren't out of character with Oppenheim's previous work, and that work is clearly attempting a kind of journalism. i don't think they're hiding the ball on this. (and in general i suspect there's less hiding the ball than people assume.)
@JustSayRad "entertainment" is doing some heavy lifting here. if they believed they were just making entertainment, i don't think cutting Evans and Holmes in on profits would've been a problem. it's not like we journalists are any less like leeches.
you can see everything is, in part, about how spotting a work doesn't neccesarily break the spell of getting worked. the pleasures of it & the irreconcilable parsing too strong. knowing kayfabe doesn't break it bc it's a fusion w/ reality. oh but the riches found in the pursuit

@JamesUrbaniak Fielder as the detective who wants to save Holmes from Billy, but she’s actually a femme fatale and she and Billy were in cahoots the whole time. it’s noir, the best genre.
@OsitaNwanevu though i do think watching Inside Llewyn Davis, in which Bob Dylan even makes well-written and very good traditional folk songs sound stale and boring next to his essentially updated versions, illustrates what you're talking about
