Teams would literally hold the ball for 4+ min of game time during poss. against Cuse out of fear. The level of domination that Mikey Powell had was unreal. Spallina is a great, great player who should be applauded, but Mikey Powell is on another tier - and that's ok.
Comparing eras is always going to be apples and (pun intended) Oranges, especially with the level of lacrosse at the youth and high school level rising to college now.
That said against top 20 teams:
Joey has 76g, 104a, 180p in 44 games
Mike had 86g, 96a, 182p in 42 games.

@MTSchreiber7@jamiemunro3@CoachMitchLax Agreed, I'm in a non-hotbed and often the only real coach with new players, CLA/Eco has rapidly accelerated the development of new players. More youth coaches need the tools and ideas on how to change their paradigm
I see kids who can do amazing things that used to only happen at the pro or final 4 level, but when their strengths get taken away, they have no answers. We must start developing players who can problem-solve, and the CLA/ecological dynamic approach offers this possibility.
This is a must-listen episode for every coach, but especially ones at the youth level. After a year of seeing the elite events, my major takeaway is that we have amazingly skilled kids all over the country, but lack good players. This convo is essential to reverse this trend.
Episode 4 of the Ecological Lacrosse Podcast with @HPUMensLax Head Coach @jcrawley44. Lots of conversation around constraints & principles of play! It's fun to listen to JC dive in!

🙌🏽 One of the most cheered entries in the Poinsettia Christmas parade was not a band, a float or even Santa. It was the #GreenvilleSC Public Works Disaster Response Team. Crews led off the parade hauling storm debris, riding in bucket trucks and marching down Main. 💚
