According to BPD stats this morning, Baltimore's homicide count is now down more than 71.% from the same time in 2022.
Since 1970, there has never been a total below 50 at this point in the year. The previous record low was set in 2025, last year.
New research: Baltimore's Safe Streets program is associated with a 42% drop in youth homicides and 21% fewer nonfatal youth shootings.
It's the first study to examine community violence intervention programs specifically for youth violence impacts. 🔗https://t.co/l6SSA9HVgL
VAN HOLLEN: An individual who was pardoned by Trump went on to molest two children, and he tried to buy their silence by saying he would give them funds from your slush fund. Can you commit to not making that person eligible for a payout?
BLANCHE: You're obviously lying in your question
VAN HOLLEN: I am reporting what he said
Effective immediately, Maryland state government employees are BANNED from using inside information from their jobs to make money on prediction markets.
Government officials should never be able to participate in prediction markets. It creates a conflict of interest for officials and encourages them to work for the markets and not their constituents.
My executive order makes sure no one in my administration will be able to line their own pockets through predictive markets.
Because of this both me and my neighbors almost got run over today as we crossed the bike lanes with our small kids. We should really hold ourselves and the contractors we hire to a higher standard and not throw away tax dollars like this.
As the pile recedes, more and more traffic calming infrastructure is being exposed, showing contractors just plowed it all down with glee, causing thousands of dollars of damage to our streets we probably won't recover.
This tax season, don’t leave cash on the table. Eligible Marylanders could get up to $4,000 just by filing their state tax return through the Maryland Earned Income Tax Credit.

The Maryland Aviation Administration has been informed that ICE is deploying additional personnel to @BWI_Airport starting today.
We have been told by ICE their personnel will provide operational support and assist at @TSA security checkpoints to speed up the clearance process for passengers — not immigration enforcement. Passenger and baggage screening responsibilities will remain with trained, skilled TSA personnel.
Americans are sick and tired of Washington’s dysfunction. The federal government needs to get its act together, pay TSA officers, and stop asking ICE agents to do work far outside their scope.
As airports across the country continue to deal with long waits, travelers with upcoming flights should plan ahead, arrive early, and closely monitor airport and airline updates.
From a new scoreboard to refreshed fan spaces, Camden Yards is leveling up to give Marylanders the game‑day experience they deserve for years to come. Let's go O's!

@District3Ahepa@baltimoreafcb Personally I say No thank you to another boondoggle that a rich person destroys the built environment for….just to leave and have the taxpayers foot the bill to cleanup.
@MDHumanServices will be sending texts just like these to approximately 350,000 Marylanders this week.
