Pure joy at the top of rainbow mountain ~ 5200 meters above sea level. This elevation is only slightly lower (180m) then Everest Base Camp.

Hiked above 5000 meters (5000m!!) to see #RainbowMountain and it was worth the altitude sickness for the alpaca picture alone!!

Left Ica on a bus to Cusco- a 17 hour bus ride.... some bad cheesecake + 2nd level on the bus on curvy roads + a touch of altitude sickness (3600m?!) I am glad to get on solid ground. Bus was expensive too -$40-50 bucks.

Who knew you could have this much fun in a desert?? Huacachina was the perfect adventure spot. Hostel was great, everything very cheap too. Definitely want to go back with more friends! Rent all the dune buggies.

Best day in #Huacachina Peru on a dune buggy. Sheer blast out there on the sand. We stayed at the Banana Adventure hostel for $25 pp and the activity was included

Day 1 in #Lima #traveltips

You can take Uber- no issues for us.
#Miraflores is the place to stay.
It will be overcast most of the time.
The city is kinda expensive- can’t find a meal for less than $10, but the food is really good.

The near hour long Uber ($12!) from the airport to Miraflores showed just how big Lima is. 10 million people. It’s been overcast but we enjoyed walking up and down the Pacific Ocean on their walkway.

Playa cristal has the perfect Caribbean flair. Tons of fish while out snorkeling, the area is a must see!

Took a tiny boat through the rough Carribean to a tiny paradise. The ride there was better than a trip to holiday world, buckets of water splashed us the whole way. #taganga #tayrona
