@jrinsiderohl Have a feeling we’ll see more & more situations like this in the coming years. So many guys with early ‘commitments’ and then things change year to year, these schools get recruits they may not think they had a shot at, roster spots become few & far between. School over-promise
@IceDogsReport@ChiSox_Mike@AttackOHL Also both guys being ‘09’s I think they wanted the guy with some OHL experience as opposed to a guy who may be more of a “PP specialist” when he does break into the league
Barbashev’s game should be studied by every team around the league. That’s how you’re supposed to play hockey. Every guy in the league CAN play that way, they just choose not to because it’s hard, and not fun sometimes. That’s winning hockey though, take notes kids
@IceDogsReport@rinoberardi1 I agree, I wouldn’t go out of my way to get rid of him, but I’d be really trying to upgrade (or let a young guy play) if plausible
@IceDogsReport@rinoberardi1 100%, idk if im a GM even on a ‘tanking’ team I’m not touching him lol nothing personal I just think he’s really really bad
@IceDogsReport@rinoberardi1 I think if they can’t find any other options that make sense then they could fill a slot with him. But I wouldn’t think it’s ideal in the eyes of the GM
@IceDogsReport@rinoberardi1 Feel like they can add an OA who fits this too. I think they only have 1? (Reid) so they’ll be able to scoop some up when teams have to decide what OA’s they want to keep.
@InsiderOHL In my draft year the entire final round was kids who were brutal but their dads either paid to have them taken or they had an uncle working on a teams staff. This was like 15 years ago I can’t even imagine what goes on behind the scenes today
