In the summer of 2017, Keeron Wilson was an 18-year-old deckhand working on a spectator boat in Bermuda when a fleet of America’s Cup AC50 catamarans came shrieking past.
Almost a decade later, Wilson is now building those very same 50ft catamarans, although now they have been repurposed, upgraded and souped up for SailGP.
Andrew Rice speaks to the specialist boat builder.

Dandy Hornet, menarik buat inspirasi nama-nama anak gen alpha wkwk
@TheAmaury So tourists go to experience Bermuda. During their visit about the island they are met with non-Bermudian hospitality workers at every turn.
What is even happening anymore? The culture seems to be have been eaten by pure colonial capitalism.
Reading through the Caricom Greenpaper. We want full membership.. but also want exemptions to every CSME pillar. It sounds like an argument for associate Membership.. which we already have. 🤔🤨
19 years on and still unreal 🥶
Dwayne ‘The Fridge’ Leverock’s insane dive to dismiss Uthappa in 2007 WC.
Big man, bigger heart-Bermuda’s moment against India that shook cricket! 🔥🏏

Most people don’t actually want sovereignty.
They prefer the feeling of being right over the responsibility of being free, and the cost that freedom demands… which is how classism survives, cloaked in moral superiority untouched by action or result.
Listen closely to the language people use and ask yourself, whose words are they really speaking with?
And before the gov or Minister tries to deflect, spin, or deny involvement to dodge political accountability, let’s be clear… this was a PLP decision.
On Friday, in a BBC interview, the Minister publicly misled the public by saying:
“It's not an Owen Darrell decision. It's not a PLP decision. It's not an OBA decision. It's a decision of committee members that are made up of individuals from the community.”
But here’s the truth.
Section 5(2)(b) of the National Heroes Act 2024 states that three of the seven committee members are recommended directly by the Minister, with the Director of Culture, both PLP appointments.
So let’s not pretend.
The Minister said the decision wasn’t his. But under the very law he helped amend, his Ministry appoints everyone on the committee.
Do they not read or know the legislation they pass?
If they didn’t choose the heroes, they decided the people who did.
And that is a government decision.
Stop letting these lot mislead you and call it “process.”
The media needs to do better.
That’s the logic I can’t comprehend.
How can someone be honoured by the Crown by receiving an OBE or MBE for long-term service to Bermuda yet still cannot meet the threshold to be recognized by their own people, in their own homeland, under criteria set by us?
🤔
@dejonsimmons@bernewsdotcom I didn't submit a name once I knew yours!
I went to see him before an interview I had with David Gibbons..I was going to FLOG Gibbons! Ira scolded me hard! "Journalists get info., Activists act on that info! You were hired to interview, NO ambushes you hear me?" #doitwithdignity
If you want to live in Kenya, you should speak Kiswahili. That’s common sense.
So we’re raising Kiswahili language requirements across every main immigration route.

Determined to be counted and to ensure propagandist do not say it is only the young that supports the revolution, thousands of elderly and frail Burkinabes took to the Street of Bobo-Dioulasso, Faso's second largest city, South West of Ouagadougou, to express their support for the VDS, FDP and the commander in Chief, for their hard work, in Keeping Burkinabes safe, and kicking out the imperialists forces.
