On this Ash Wednesday, Days Of Ash is released as a self-contained collection of five new songs and a selected poem - American Obituary, The Tears Of Things, Song Of The Future, Wildpeace, One Life At A Time and Yours Eternally (ft. Ed Sheeran & Taras Topolia). This new EP is a response to current events, inspired by the many extraordinary and courageous people fighting on the frontlines of freedom. Four of the five tracks are about individuals – a mother, a father, a teenage girl whose lives were brutally cut short - and a soldier who’d rather be singing but is ready to die for the freedom of his country.

It’s important that you understand what happened last night.
Last night, Stephen Colbert interviewed Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, a candidate who, by all accounts, is on track in the polls to flip Texas blue.
In response, Trump’s FCC reportedly threatened CBS if the interview aired.
CBS caved and pulled the segment, citing “financial reasons.”
In modern American history, no president has been more hostile to free speech than Donald Trump.
But censorship always backfires.
Here’s the full segment Trump didn’t want you to see.
BREAKING: Music legend Bruce Springsteen just released this incredible song that will be sure to piss Trump off beyond belief.
“Streets of Minneapolis”.
He wrote this song about Alex Pretti and Renée Good Saturday and recorded it yesterday.
Share it far and wide and play it as loud as you can
Bruce Springsteen on Trump: “I couldn't care less what he thinks about me. He's the living personification of what the 25th Amendment and impeachment were for. If Congress had any guts, he'd be consigned to the trash heap of history."
RETWEET if you stand with @Springsteen!
The salient point now is not Trump's dementia, but the Republicans' cowardice
They'd rather ruin America's reputation for decades than risk losing their jobs
Tariffs are taxes paid by American importers, not foreign govts, meaning the money “flowing in” is actually coming from US businesses and consumers, not China, India or anyone else.
It’s like robbing your own citizens and calling it foreign income. For someone who claims to be a business genius, not understanding this basic economic principle either points to a dangerously low IQ or deliberate deception, and neither is reassuring.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
NEW: We are suing Donald Trump.
This is a manufactured crisis. He is creating fear and terror to take over a state militia and violate the U.S. constitution.
The illegal order he signed could allow him to send the military into ANY STATE HE WISHES.
Every governor -- red or blue -- should reject this outrageous overreach.
There’s a lot of hyperbole out there. This isn’t that.
This is an unmistakable step toward authoritarianism that threatens the foundation of our republic.
We cannot let it stand.
Oy vey, Donald J. Trump, you keyboard warrior, screaming in all caps on X about how you should be able to "throw murderers and other criminals out of our Country" without those pesky "Radical Left Lunatic Judges" getting in your way. What a tragedy for you, Donnie. It turns out that even a president has to follow the law, not just your gut. Who knew the Constitution was not just a suggestion for everyone but you?
Let us break this down and set you straight. You are whining that judges are "assuming the role of President" by stopping you from playing dictator with deportation powers. Here is a newsflash, genius: that is called checks and balances, not a coup. The president does not get to unilaterally decide who is a "murderer" or "criminal" and yeet them out of the country. That is what due process is for, a little thing enshrined in the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments. You know, those are the things you swore to uphold while you were busy golfing at Mar-a-Lago. Courts have smacked down your overreaches before. For example, when you tried to end DACA with no legal basis in 2017, the Supreme Court said, "No, you cannot just do that" in 2020. Laws apply to you too, Donnie.
And "Radical Left Lunatic Judge"? Please. You are just mad because the judiciary is not your personal fan club. Those judges are not assuming your role. They are doing their job, making sure you do not turn the U.S. into your personal fiefdom where you can deport anyone who looks at you funny. If the country is "destined to fail," it is not because of judges following the law. It is because you think you are above it. Maybe if you spent less time rage-tweeting and more time reading the Constitution, you would understand. But no, that is too hard for a guy who thinks Article II means "I can do whatever I want." Here is a spoiler: it does not. Cry harder, Mr. "Very Big Trouble." The law is not bending for your tantrums.
Elon Musk, purveyor of FREE SPEECH suspended the @Dropkickmurphys account for speaking up against fascism and Trump.
Fuck Elon Musk.
Fuck Donald Trump.
this is actually fucking jaw-dropping. while trump cuts programs you need to live, he’s turning the white house into a car dealership to advertise his unelected shadow president’s failing company. dystopian levels of corruption
Last night, the Russian army carried out another massive attack on our energy infrastructure. Various facilities were targeted in several regions – Odesa, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Ternopil. In total, the Russians used nearly 70 missiles, both cruise and ballistic, as well as almost 200 attack drones. All of this was directed against infrastructure that ensures normal life. Currently, repair and restoration work is ongoing wherever needed. Unfortunately, ordinary residential buildings have also been damaged. In Kharkiv, a Russian missile hit close to an apartment building. People were injured. They are receiving the necessary assistance.
Today, F-16 fighter jets and Mirage aircraft provided by France were used to protect Ukrainian skies. In particular, the Mirages successfully intercepted Russian cruise missiles. Thank you! I also want to recognize the performance of our anti-aircraft missile forces, army aviation, all our electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.
The first steps toward real peace must include forcing the sole source of this war, Russia, to stop such attacks against life. And this is something that can be effectively monitored. Silence in the skies – banning the use of missiles, long-range drones, and aerial bombs. And silence at sea – a real guarantee of normal navigation. Ukraine is ready to pursue the path to peace, and it is Ukraine that strives for peace from the very first second of this war. The task is to force Russia to stop the war.
Today, all day long, work continued in the city of Dobropillya, the Donetsk region, following a Russian strike. It was one of the most brutal attacks, a combined strike carefully planned to cause maximum damage. Missiles, along with Shahed drones, targeted the central part of the city. Nine residential buildings, a shopping center, and stores were hit.
Unfortunately, eleven people have died—my condolences to their families and loved ones. Among the victims was a State Emergency Service worker. The second strike came while rescuers were already working. Fifty people were injured, all have received the necessary assistance. Among the wounded are seven children, with the youngest being a 10-year-old girl.
There were also other attacks today in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and southern regions. In Kherson, FPV drones once again targeted civilians.
Russia continues to prove with its cruelty, day after day, that nothing has changed for them in Moscow – they are not thinking about how to end the war, but how to destroy and capture more while the world allows them to continue. Of course, we are doing everything we can to protect lives.
I am grateful to all the leaders, diplomats from partner countries, and civil society figures who support Ukraine, who condemned these Russian strikes, and who call things by their true names.
It’s important that we continue to coordinate all our efforts with our partners, ensuring effective defense and doing everything possible to bring peace closer.
Now this is what I call a speech. Charlie Angus 🇨🇦 Absolutely nails it.
I am now convinced this is about much more that tariffs. I’m beginning to believe that the oligarchs WANT to set fire to the global economy. They are actively seeking a global economic ‘End of days’
They literally want to deregulate the global economy. Forget WW3, this is going to be Darwinism on steroids.
People around the world are going to die for no other reason but to satisfy the ego of a man who takes pleasure from the suffering of people who to him haven’t earned the right to live.
